Thieves Guild Guide

Recommended Posts

In the tip.it guide for the Thieves Guild there is a table with experience points for the various activities (chests, pickpocket, etc). I think it should be noted that the doors on the cages for the chests grants exp. Picking a door to a northern chest will give 210exp, while a door to a southern chest will give 280exp. This is more exp than the chests themselves!

Also, is it possible to throw the few tasks from the guild into the calculator? I think this guild may be the new best way to train.

That's all I had. If you're training in the Thieves' Guild, the chests are a great way to go, but don't forget to open all of the doors!

Afterthought: I don't know if anyone's collecting data to determine an algorithm (or maybe just a table) of what the hanky point limit is at various levels, but my thieving level is 55 and my limit is 64 points. It was also 64 at lvl54. Don't know if that's useful to anyone, but just throwing it out there.

Hello!

I can confirm the northern doors give 210 XP and southern doors give 280 XP. Don't earn hanky points for opening doors, just XP. Note: Once you open the door(s) they stay open for a period of time, so you cannot just repeatedly open/close to get quick XP.

I'm 91 Thieving & can collect a max of 80 points.

I'm going to leave this topic open for the Guide/Calcs Crew to see just in case.

Thank you!

Vine is waving at me. What? What was that?! It gave me the tendril! :o

I'm aware that this topic is old, but since Vhellcat has left this open for calc crew to respond, I wanted to inform that as the chest and such in the guild take a while to "reset" they are not an incredibly viable form of training. Granted that it's possible to go from one chest to the next to the next while training, the calculator's purpose tries to focus primarily on using one form at a time. Knowing this, I think there are plenty of better alternatives to consider when thinking of training.
