alright now, im new to these forums and i looked at some pixels which looked awesome. soooo, i decided to make something like that. please advise me on how to make the bricks look more brick-like. this one was on paint

and then here's another picture thing with a guy in full rune with a pretty random background. i think this one doesnt look as bad. i did it on adobe photoshop which i find a lot easier

the doors are angled as if ur looking down on them when angle is actuall looking direct on or slightly up is one major problem

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

as for your brick work

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bricks are not in a grid do 1 row then row above brick edges land in centre of lower bricks and so on

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for the bricks themselves first shade the greay area using various tones, then using a v dark version of tht colour do your brick outlines

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

then using tht dark line and a light colour do small squiggles basically in random bricks, but not all of them

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

for final details i'd suggest a few specks of dark green moss

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The end result is similar to the crumbling walls in my current sig

Add a lighter colour in the high, right corner of every brick, and a darker colour grey in the low, left corner of every brick.

okay, thanks for the help. and yes, i am quarentine3 from runehq

its ok... backgrounds are the hradest i reckon. i can make people with ease but bkacgrounds annoy me cause i usually dont know wat 2 put in it=p

i added another one that i think looks a lot less worse

It doesnt look as bad but it isn't a pixel, just try doing exactly the same as that but in paint or something and see what happens. I would recommend GraphicsGale.
