CapnJimmy
I've been helping my brother work out the puzzles for the elemental workshop 3 quest, and I simply could not finish the first stage of puzzle 3. Always needed like 5 more turns. I went onto Runescape Questhelp to see if that would help at all, and lo and behold they give step by step instructions! After going through it, I noticed that the "Mid slider" as you guys call it, wasn't even moved! So in conclusion, you do NOT need to use it for that step. I'll post the step by steps instructions QuestHelp gave, as well as a screen shot of the end result. The offending sentence: "You will also have to contend with the Pillar stationed in the center of the machine; while it did not pose a problem before, you'll have loop your chain of Sliders around it to reach the opposite terminal, and you must further connect the "Mid" Slider to the side of the Pillar closest to the Drive Mechanism. This can be extraorinarily difficult with the 50-turn restriction, so you may wish to consider earning the extra turns mentioned in the "Features of Interest" by activating the Counters on the machine."The end result from following QuestHelp's instructions:I assure you all the connected pieces ARE MOVING in this picture, and the middle pillar DID DROP DOWN. Also, you'll notice the turn counter reads "00" meaning the numbers above those are "11" meaning I have 11 turns left. Be forewarned that the images they show didn't show up on my screen at all, but they were there. Just little white boxes with red X's is all. The instructions: "First, I should reset all of my previous progress. I can do this at the west end of the puzzle, in the shadow of the giant counter. Here is a lever that, when pulled, will reset all of the tiles and the number of moves I have made in the puzzle. Second, I should click on the magnifying glass in the top-left of my screen to get a better view of the puzzle. Checking to make sure that my puzzle looks the same as the image below, I should make the following moves. Note that the vertical axis, from bottom to top, are the letters A-F. The horizontal axis, from left-to-right is 1-7: Step 1: 3Step 2: DStep 3: 2Step 4: BStep 5: 3Step 6: DStep 7: 6Step 8: CStep 9: 5Step 10: B Step 11: 3Step 12: DStep 13: 5Step 14: BStep 15: 3Step 16: DStep 17: 5Step 18: BStep 19: 4Step 20: A Step 21: 3Step 22: BStep 23: 6Step 24: DStep 25: 5Step 26: BStep 27: 6Step 28: DStep 29: 2Step 30: F Step 31: 3Step 32: EStep 33: 2Step 34: DStep 35: 4Step 36: EStep 37: 3Step 38: DStep 39: 6"
Cowman_133
Hey there, We have now provided a solution within our guide and if a user is to follow our coordinates they will get it done. If people wish to complete the quest with alternate methods such as the one you've posted, this is fine as well. I think it is only worth adding one solution though and not multiple aways of doing it. Thanks for understanding. DK
