Serious problem with getting my account back.

Hello.

 

My username is Autist

 

 

I have not played for almost 2 years. I quit 2 years ago, didn't play for a year, then went to the Navy for 11 months. During Navy, I began to get interested in my account again...

 

 

But what.... Password changed, etc. So, I used my payment numbers etc to get my account back. I did.

 

A couple of weeks later, it was taken away, again. And I am 99% sure while I took my account back for the first time, I didn't have keyloggers etc.

 

This process repeated itself many times. Like 5.

 

I eventually gave up.

 

Now, I am out of the Navy (finally), and I want to get my account back for good.

 

But the high scores says my account does not exist anymore... I know you can change usernames now... How can I find to what was it changed to?

How can I get my account back so that the scammer never gets it back again? He/she probably know some payment number or something...

 

 

I have wrote to Jagex several times, no responses.

There is a higher probability that it was permanently banned. I don't understand whether or not you can search for someone's high-scores based on their previous name, but I would assume you can.

 

You can still recover it with the old username though, that I know for sure.

I don't believe you can, but if it's a recent name-change you could always attempt to add the previous-name on any account in-game, and if the name has been changed then you'll see the new name on the friends list instead, even if the account is offline / on private. After this you can then search the hi-scores using the new name. :)

 

For the other things, I really can't help - sorry! I've never had to recover an account let alone have to battle for ownership of it against some pesky individual, good luck with it though!

Wait, I think I'm wrong about recovering using the old username because logically speaking it would cause a lot of problems for Jagex. However, my friend said he recovered his account and I don't know whether there are conditions behind it or not, like time frames and whether the name gets retaken. I'm just confusing myself now.

 

Have you tried to recover your account already?

 

I'm trying to access the options as much as possible, and I know that it'll show you this message: "You must enter a valid username to proceed. Please try again." if the account name is non-existant. I don't know whether it'll show up for changed usernames or not, so have you tried? Also, after you put in the username and it arrives to "Recover stolen/forgotten password." It will tell you whether the account is locked or not.
