O hai guys.

 

My name is Rick, and I play Runescape. I have played this game since february '05 when I was only 12 years old! Now I am an adult, and I still follow the summer ritual of playing this game far past healthy limits. However, I'm still a noob by the ever-growing standard of leet-ness that is required to truly be a non-noob. Of course, that term itself is rather relative, but since I don't have a 99 skill. I haven't killed a GWD boss; solo OR in a team. Heck, I don't even have lunar magic yet (at the time I write this introduction). I guess that makes my forum username a little of a misnomer, but in the past I was known as Leet Man P, which I still use to log into my account known as Spase Peepul.

 

I'm making this blog in order to serve as a distraction from the mind-numbing demands of grinding levels. While I certainly do not play to have my brain anesthetized, its part of getting the levels to do what I really enjoy in this game - whatever I feel like at that moment. Entonces, I grind as we all do, and maybe if I post my progress, alongside whatever I feel like writing, I'll have some feedback to keep me from going a little more crazy.

I'm an 18-yo boy-man and future attendee of the Ohio University for Journalism. I enjoy performing, making, and listening to music more than anything; and I like writing next to that. I've been called a deep thinker by teachers and peers alike, and I feel understanding and transcendence is the only way to living happily in this crazy modern world. I also like the pursuit of art and beauty; ...and Xavier: Renegade Angel. I went to catholic school for 13 years of my life, and while I consider myself religious in a sense, I certainly do not need to be a part of Catholicism any longer. I used to want to be punk rock, now I want to be a guru of my age some day. I spent the last year in semi-isolation to 'find myself' and I think I did, or at least who I am right now. I believe everything and everyone has value, and that the greatest power of mankind is the ability to create. I think because of that, I cannot stand living idly in such a consumerist culture (television ads make me angry, to give an example) but I know that I'm still kinda part of the problem. In case you haven't figured by now, I have a lot of ideas :3.

But seriously, folks. This is what I did yesterday (minus like 30k exp from the night before)

 

I don't like making pictures of EVERY stat level up (I did that in 08. painful.) so I'll just have dailies. less clutter too!

Make some goals so we can see you progress towards them.

You could make pics every level up just put em in hide tags.

Easier to see what you've gained in a day.

Also put a bank pic on here, maybe a full bank or a best of bank.

I don't know, this blog looks a bit boring as it is right now.

haha 'decent'; in the context of Runescape I accept that as praise, considering how easy it is to be elitist. Thanks! This blog needs to get rolling, yes; but at least for this month it'll be semi-painful posting images (this computer was dated years ago. an antique it is.) Still, I'll try to liven it up by something I know I can do without too much teeth-pulling...

 

...So today I woke up to the power rangers theme playing in my head. This was the full song, with more lyrics than 'go go power rangers' that I heard thanks to the YTMND soundtrack. Four years ago, that was my s***, YTMND. Basically they started to rip off 4chan in late 2006 and I went there and THAT whole can of worms was opened, but before longcat there was Brian Peppers. Look him up if you want a 'wtf is that' moment. They had some real winners, like the Time Traveller classified ad 'I've only done this once before' or the Gary's mod utilization for the Gman series and his adventures; having a wonderful time and grabbing a boob. And who could forget NEDM, the reaction to an animal rights nightmare (dude burns a cat alive) that brought happycat to spotlight and made Coburn's 'we interrupt this programme' my jam for that summer (and this one, actually). But back to the theme, it was awesome, coming off of a dream that I was in a hospital/butchery that eerily mirrored a scene from District 9, which I saw today. It's an amazing film. That's the shortest praise I can give, because honestly right now all I want to do is play Runescape. But seriously, the best film I've seen since step brothers (which was good but didn't have a lot of depth, but who said it should?).

 

Here's what I did yesterday. I leveled smithing. I'm doing it again tonight. I know, f***ing exciting.

What I did yesterday. Not much, but I did try the circus FINALLY. It's quite decent.

 

 

I've decided not to sell my mask, because it's such a relic of Runescape. If we stretched the nine years this game has spanned, to the scale of human civilization, this mask would be from some great Babylonian era I surmise. Possibly Egyptian, but definitely old. I guess that's why I like it, because it's a relic.

Yesterday I saw my first legitimate medical marijuana building, the 'cannabis connection.' Not gonna lie, I got excited. I think I could fake an eating disorder, eh?

 

 

 

 

I completud my short-term smithing goal. Now I'm gonna grow herbs and something else.... dungeoneering I'm thinking, or maybe just meteor/evil treee hunting.
