What would you think of raising the efficiency of the defense stat. Not armor, but the actual stat so that having defense would actually do something. I'm suggesting this as a way of sticking it to the "pures" who sacrifice defense because they are "wasted" CB levels. This will keep the Pk'ing triangle intact (mage ignores melee defense, melee will still have more defense than rangers, and rangers still have their mage defense) while making the wilderness more enjoyable for the average player.

When in wild (I have 70 def btw) I ususally wear ghostly robes to boost mage, In wild I ancient with a dds on hand

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A meleer runs up to me probably with 60 str 60 atk and 50 def and he cuts right through my robes cuz my def is meaningless. Of course I can still freeze him and run but oh no hes wearing robes which my spells dont help to much against so i have to rely on pure strength alone

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So especially when im being attacked by higher lvls they cut through even harder

Defense isnt everything... I personally dont rely on defence since im a mage

 

 

 

all you need is a way to slow eminies down by ethier bombing them with magic making them heal every 5 seconds or youse entangle spells...

Yes it would be nice if they upgraded the def effectivness. It usualy take like 3 to 6 lvls for me to notice any difference at all. When i fight lesser demons, they did 8s to me max when i was at lvl 74 with 57 def. Now when i am lvl 81 they still hit 8s at the same rate. Thats just kinda mest to me.

I have no objections to the defense stat. It seems good enough to me as it is now.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What I do object to, however; is the fact warriors can use dragonhide and leather. In my opinion, such armour should have negative strength bonuses.

i agree with you, it totally has no effect on helping you much unless you have armour on
