Fletching and profit?

Featured Replies

I haven't done much serious fletching in a while. I'm interested in getting 95 or so fletching over the course of a few months. So I'm looking at the cost and whatnot. I don't mind losing a bit of money, but as of right now I really don't have any "money makers". I've tried mort myre fungus, and that gets about 400k an hour. I do herbs and MTK, which adds up to 600-800k a day. For 95 fletching I need 3.4mil xp. Which would be around breaking even or making 30gp per yew long (strung). I really don't care to high alch them for money, so does this mean they turn into junk? Or can I actually sell them. I have the 14.3mil I'd need to buy all the materials, but I'd rather not spend most of my money on junk.

Also, there are other items in fletching that appear to make money, long kebbit bolts (600k/hr), ruby bolts (800k/hr), emerald bolds (600k/hr). Question is, do these actually make money or is it just impossible to get the quantity of items to fletch... like gems and metal bolts.

Plus what else could I do to make money with my stats?

Please don't suggest any form of combat as money making. I really don't enjoy it and the style I play (semi-afk) I'd die.

Broad bolts always make a small but steady profit. if they go down over an update and your forced to sell low you'll still make a little gp.. if they go up over an update or two you could be looking at a hundred K extra or so. completely worth the slayer points. lately the margins are getting dangerously low though.
