not sure whether this is a bit obscure, but...

When i switched from the default Radeon driver to fglrx, xcompmgr started to misbehave real bad. I ended up with lots of fragments of windows all over the place and after killall xcompmgr, any GL app i ran went very slowly. anyone knows what happened? am i using an outdated xcompmgr or is it a driver problem? I'm using xorg. my X11 rpms are:

[joel@172 ~]$ rpm -qa | grep xorg

xorg-x11-libs-6.8.2-31

fonts-xorg-base-6.8.2-1
