Java crashes...

Yesterday I was playing RS fine.

Today, when I go to start it up, it crashes Firefox. It says not responding on the top, so I go to task manager and end the process. I press OK, and nothing happens. The window stays there, the process does not disappear. Firefox[Caution: Executable File] uses around 80MB RAM and 0 CPU. The HDD light is constantly on. Java[Caution: Executable File] has not started yet. So I proceed to log off and back on. Logging off takes about 5 minutes with the screen blacking out in between. Logging back on is normal speed. However, I immediately get a pop-up that says I have to restart my computer to save my changes. What changes? After a restart, the computer is operating normally. This time, I start IE and try to load RS. After the page loads, IE crashes. Java has not started, and I shut down the computer this time. It takes over 10 minutes to shut down. After logging back on, I try to uninstall java. However, this starts javaw[Caution: Executable File] and crashes the installer.

So I cannot use java or uninstall java or update java. How do I get rid of the problem?
