The guide currently shows a member's version of the Meatcorn and Climbing hook puzzle. This puzzle also occurs in free worlds, with a slight difference...Instead of using the grapple to form a tightrope, there is a winch to pull out a bridge from the opposite ledge.

 

Here is a picture of the completed room I came across. After making the grappling hook as in the puzzle shown in the guide, it is used to hook the ledge where the bridge appears, and then the winch in the middle of the room is used to pull the rope back, bringing the bridge with it.

 

I was confused for a min but i think i get it now.

 

Where the grapple space is is actually a small lip on the bridge.

After u grapple the rope is joined to the winch.

Then you use the rope to pull the bridge out.

 

Am I right?

Just wanted to add that the puzzle you speak of is a different puzzle also encountered on Member's worlds. I didn't realize we didn't have it!

 

Yes you use the grapple with the bridge lip and use the winch to extend the bridge.

It seems that they've merely updated the meatcorn & grapple hook puzzle room to include these extra elements, and extra options for self-mutilation because apparently operating a winch is rather deadly. The old room (without the winch) no longer seems to exist.
