What happens when you have an outfit and you change your gender?

I've been wondering that myself. My luck renders me unable to test it, but I've been told that if you switch genders you still keep your other gender outfit.. I'm unsure of the relliability of this, however. :(

yea when you wea the other genders clothes it changed into your gender, u can own both types at once but can only wear one at once.
