Ouchy
Hey Tip.It, I have a problem with the main family computers. It;s a completely useless system, which always seem to crash randomly, but that's a different thread (which will problably be posted soon...). Before I was changing what services are disabled, to make it run faster as it is such a dog to run.I aciddentally turned themes off, and my sister decided to have a [bleep] because she is stupid and doesn't care about performance really, so long as she can play her silly games, so I had to change it back. However, when I go into Services[Caution: Executable File] to change it back, I get this error:Sorry about the quality This happens with msconfig as well. What can I do to fix the problem? It's really annoying me and now my 'rents are angry. EDIT: It appears as there is a problem with System 32 or something along those lines. I cannot access any tools that include System 32...This includes System Restore. While trying to do a virus scan, the computer shut down because it is a useless piece of [cabbage] (Not isolated to this, it has always shut down when it feels like the load is too hard...)I did some searching and apparently it's a virus called 'Vundo'? :| :| :| Here is the System info, once again sorry about the quality. Any help your guys can offer would be very much appreciated. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. lordkafei
So I take it you can't get at Services from Control Panel either... (under Administrative Tools) Heres a CNET thread that might help you. I have no personal experience with Vundo, so I can't vouch for that download. But I saw it on several Vundo solution threads. Nope, I can't access any of the Administrative Tools in the Control Panel. Thanks, I'll give that thread a try. EDIT: Turns out it is not Vundo, but a completely different Trojan, that's been existent on the computer for about a month :| :| Wow.
