This cost can be reduced by using the Karamja gloves one, a reward from the Karamja Achievement Diary.This no longer works, I have karmaja gloves 2 which means I have bonuses that karmaja gloves one offer and more. After equipping karmaja gloves 2 and checking the price of the onyx it stays the same (2.7m tokkul), i am currently working to buy an onyx which is how i discovered this. The diary guide certainly no longer states it as a reward.
