What Are Good Stats For A Staker?

So with the removal of trade limits and the addition of the old wilderness coming up, I've decided to finally make a staker. Problem is, I have zero experience with stakers, so I don't know where to start, what stats to get and what technique to use. One of my friends told me about boxers, which, according to him, are high attack/defense and low strength pures. So I came up with a plan to get 40/10/40 while I'm F2P and eventually make it up to 70/30/70 and 80/60/80 when I get members. Will i be able to stake efficiently with these stats? Or is there a better method? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I can't wait to start this pure.

Hey mate, I was the first ever Barrows Pure/Staker with the stats 70/30/70, I'm pretty ecstatic people are still using my formula for what made me such a successful staker all those many many years ago.

If you wish to be 70/30/70 then go with full torags + obsidian shield + whip and/or full Veracs, I used both set ups (except I used Rune Kite if I remember properly) and cleaned up the low level stakers. Basically train 70/30/70 at the rock crabs, then when you stake make sure you are wielding full rune + dragon long sword and then switch over, I would recommend buying full torags + obsidian shield + whip and full Veracs, because you will be running into many people with the same stats, luckily for me I was the first one so I didn't have the problem with this when I was doing it.

80/60/80 isn't worth it, I made alot of money at these stats but it was mainly for boxing and not many people do full armour fights at these levels, if you want to move up from 70/30/70 I recommend going 88/75/84 and stake at those stats, keep lvl 1 prayer, do not train prayer at all.

I haven't played for many years, so I am unsure if there is any better armour than Barrows for level 70 armour, but I used that exact set up and became very successful in my staking career. If you got anymore questions, feel free to ask.
