lagging on every world is it my pc?

hi, first of all im not screaming omg lag lag, but its got out of hand now every world i go on i have serious lag, and im pretty convinced its my pc.

im not a techie guy, but someone told me to empty my rs cache, that has not helped.

i have a 3 year old packard bell machine, windows vista and 141 gb drive with 54.8gb free space, is there something i can do? im pretty sure its not just bad luck?

What processor and how much RAM do you have?

 

Has this lag always happened to you or is this new? Is it fps lag or you click and it takes a long time before reacting?

Thanks for replying,this lag, has got worse, 2 things happen, mostly it takes ages to load (loading please wait) thats not the log in thats when im playing, but the other is like you describe, takes a long time reacting and its like its in slow motion.

Your system specs are not amazing, but you should be able to play RS easily on lower settings with those. Are you playing in HD or SD? Try SD.

Also need to know your graphics card. To find out:

Device manager (theres a button on the side of that window you screenied) > Display adapter.

You may want to pick up 2 more GB of ram. You can buy DDR2 for as cheap as $50 for 2 2GB sticks.
