First off, let me point out that im not in a clan, nor will i ever be in one :P

 

 

 

(For the fact im a full time fisher)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know many friends who are quite annoyed with their friends list, since they have friends, and about 3/4 list for their clan. It's kind of hard to find which ones are which, and i thought a new tab in the friend/ignore list would be pretty nice for those players.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This tab would be "Clan" and would contain all the people in your clan, instead of on your friends list.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You could add anyone to your clan list, and seperate them from your regular friends. These clan members should appear in a different color on mini-map, maybe light-blue or even the team-cape blue.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This will cause alot more organization within clans, and within friends

 

 

 

(For example, in clan wars it'll be alot easier to pick out who's on your team and who's your opposing clan, which will eliminate people who try to trick you into thinking they are in your clan when they arent)

I agree with this, but the update would have to be integrated with clan support. On all the big games like World of Warcraft, Anarchy Online, and even Everquest guild people are recognized by the name of their guild over their heads. with this they have a guild chat. Perhaps it might not also hurt to add a chat relay for guild chat onto runescape as well. Clans a major part of the game I don't see why they ignore it.

well cant remember which behind the scenes it was, but they did plan on adding clan support to begin with, so yea, would work well with that update :)

to add onto this I think people on your clan list should show up as a different color dot on your mini map as well

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and off topic of clans it would be nice to allow certain people to see you online and others not without turning your privacy completely off and turning everyone off or taking people off your list then readding them.

Maybe if they have an official clan system thing they could make it so once you join a clan your name would have a 3-5 letter abbriviation of you clan name infront of your name. It would be in a different color too.
