Every site I've visited so far states that the anchor's spec reduces either attack, magic, ranged, or defense by 10% of the damage inflicted. However, this is not true. The anchor only reduces defense by 1%. If need be, I could record its special attacks and post a video of it for proof.

I wonder if this is a remnant from before the hitpoints-lifepoints change.

I thought that too, but then there's the issue where it only seems to reduce defense.

Video proof would be awesome. It'd also mean that the KB's claim (This attack doubles your chance to hit. A successful hit will lower either your enemy's Defence, Attack, Ranged or Magic level by 10% of the damage caused.) is pretty far off :P

 

I reckon it's indeed down to 1% of the damage caused nowadays. Maybe it just defaults to defence in PvP combat.

Thanks! It's a bit blurry, you still clear enough to see that only defence is being lowered by the tiniest amount. I'm guessing that the "10%" bit is indeed still a leftover from the old 99 hitpoints system. I'll correct that, and add a note on it only lowering defence in PvP combat. Credit get!
