Wacom is the industry leader. There are a couple other players out there, and some might be good, but personally I am not sure I would take my chances with them.

Wacom tablets are the way to go. My Graphire 4 XL set me back about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã150, but it was definately worth it. The Wacom site has ben mentioned. Good luck finding a tablet :D

Ya, tablets work just like mice only the drawing surface is relative to the frame. For example the in windows, the start menu is in the bottom left hand corner. If you put the pen down in the bottom left hand corner of the tablet the curser will jump to that position. It takes some getting use to, but once you know it it is really easy and you can use the pen insted of a mouse if you want to or when youm get a tablet use the pen insted of a mouse for a few days just to get used to it.

Wacom's to seris of tablet are the graphire and intous. The graphire is cheaper and not as good as the intous but the intous is for more serious graphic designers. I personally think that the Intous is worth the money. But it all depends on how far you are willing to go with graphic desgining.

Wellwhen it comes down to it...they are both very good. I really depends on how much money you want to spend. You can go to wacom.com and look at the differneces to see just how different they are and choose for yourself I don't know exactly want you want. But a graphire should be suffienct for most peoples' needs. :)
