A little help need combat wise

Hello all. I have been away from runescape for 2 or 3 years now and I have thought about coming back to for a while. I was wondering which form of combat you guys feel is best in pvp as of right now? I know melee has its great armour along with godswords and whatnot, while ranged has crossbows and other dangerous weapons, and magic has ancients. Which form is most effective against the other two? If I were to focus on melee I would use a godsword/barrows armour, for ranged I would go with void/dark bow, and for magic I would go with ancients. Opinions please?

Melee still dominates the combat triangle as it has in the past years of the game.

 

But, for practicability, just PK on a maxed main. Godswords were never useful for anything other then their specs. And even now all of the specs have pretty much been outdated by newer weapons. Unless you're a maxed main with turmoil and vengeance, you'll get chewed up and spit out by maxed specialized pures and tanks.
