New to dungeoneering

Featured Replies

So after a two year break, I've started up again and want to do a bit if dung, I've tried it on my own an found it slow, so now I want a bit of advice, here's why

My girlfriend started playing 2 months ago (she's already 1300+ total, not bad I know) and neither of us has over 12 dung, so has anyone got tips on how to level up with a fair amount of speed in a two man team?

We've tried like 4-5 floors already and we got to about the 5th floor and found it too hard, also we gained almost no exp, I got one level, she got three, is this normal? Were both really new to dung so any advice would have to be clear and explained, do we make the best stuff we can? I'm just so confused :-P

At low levels, you get almost no xp for actually doing floors in dungeoneering. The commonly accepted method of leveling dungeoneering at low levels is to use tears of guthix and penguin points to get a big boost, and then visit all the resource dungeons you can to get more chunks of xp. Doing one week of tears of guthix + penguin points + resource dungeons can easily get you to high level 20's or level 30's in dungeoneering.

Once you get higher levels of prestige in dungeoneering, you start to gain a lot more xp for doing floors. You should always do small dungeons for the lowest floors, and there's some debate about whether it's best to do small or medium floors for the highest level floors you can do. As you get to higher levels, most people do c1 small floors for the lowest floors (in order to go quickly), and then c6 small/medium for the higher floors (for good xp gains).

And of course, once you hit level 60-70 dung and can do floors 30+, you should start doing dungeons with the dgs clan here at tip.it for fast xp.

If you're f2p and don't have access to tears of guthix or peng points, the first few levels of dung are going to suck. Just keep at it, and know that xp rates will go up quickly as you level up.
