Cooking Gauntlets w/ Tuna

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I'm fairly confident, i've cooked 10 inventories worth of tuna and i haven't burned one. This was After i got 63 cooking, so i believe that you stop burning Tuna after 63 with gauntlets.

Well my other account (pairoh) got hacked, so this is my new account.

Goals: 70 agility, 74 Hunter, 70 cooking, and 70 farming.

10 inventories at a lvl close to the stop burning lvl (ergo its statistically possible to not burn any) vs better part of 10 years of them being in-game and stopping burning at 65 as thoroughly tested and confirmed over the years.

It's good to try and spot changes, but a change to gauntlets would of been announced and at your cooking level it is statistically possible to not burn any; its not even that improbable, by your lvl you got maybe 1 in 10 burn rate, so its quite easy to not burn any for 280 fish.

Hey Pairoh, thank you for your submission :)

The odds of burning a tuna at level 63 would be pretty small. If the chance is say, 1%, the odds of not burning any over the course of ten inventories (280 tuna) is 0.99 ^ 280 = ~6%. A small, but still very real chance. I think we'll have to go with the wisdom of the years here.

@Sy, the odds of not burning one with a 1/10 burn rate would be 1.54135 × 10^-13 which is less likely than winning the lottery :P

lol true bogs i didnt number crunch it just guesstimated.

But i believe your math is off, just a fyi.

1/10 = 10/100 = 10%

so 0.8^280 = 7.3315594 × 10^-28

But yeah in realistic numbers using math at lvl 63 the burn rate is somewhere around 0.5% - 1% which gives somewhere between 24% - 6% chance of no burns for 280 fish.

From personal experience I'd be inclined to say its roughly 0.75% burn rate, so 12% chance of no burns for 280 fish.
