If it does say to dig east of the yews to the south. I think you should dig east of the yews to the south.

but where exactly ther eis big area east of the yews to the south

If you plug your coordinates into the tip.it treasure locater popup it will show you on the map where that tree is. You did about 1 square to the right of it. Every time I go there someone is cutting down that tree.
