July 30, 201114 yr I've had a name on my friends list forever, even though he doesn't play anymore. I keep it there for nostalgic reasons, as he introduced me to the game. Anyway, a few months ago I noticed his name was showing up on the list with a * in front of it, and now it lists his name as just #Friend2. His name wasn't offensive, and I doubt he's been hacked as the acc's never online. Anyone know what causes this? Has the account been deleted? Banned? July 30, 201114 yr Was his name unique? Cause weeks after the display name update i've noticed how the top players got the chance to change their names to already used names like that "Lan" guy. I think I remember readin a news article @ runescape website where jagex says they will release inactive account's names for new players.
