August 11, 201114 yr As the description states, would it be worth it for me to melee the caves. I would be using a chaotic rapier, full bandos, fury, fire cape, slayer helm, etc. Claws for spec. I have never done the caves with melee but I did them when I was a pure so I do have a relatively good knowledge on how to do them since with 1 def you are tanking a lot. Opinions? Thanks.
August 11, 201114 yr Considering your stats and access to turmoil I would suggest meleeing the caves it is no more difficult than ranging and is indeed quicker unless your range level is far better than you melee's. Perhaps you defence is a little low but with your set up you will do fine just sidestep the 360's and bring some sort of healing special e.g: SGS or EE/EEE unless your an awesome SS flasher but to be honest with your stats I would still suggest an EEE over Claws. August 11, 201114 yr Author Sadly I dont have an EEE but I was thinking I'd probably just SS some of the lower lvl monsters I dont need prayer for. I usually don't get hit much when ranging the caves, is it much different meleeing?
August 11, 201114 yr You won't get hit much when meleeing the caves only if you mess up when sidestepping the 360's. Inventory wise it's a shame you lack overloads. You should take 2-3 pure sets, your special weapon 4-6 brews and appropriate number of super restores as well and then just fill the rest of your inventory with prayer pots. August 11, 201114 yr Author Sweet, thanks for all the help. The inventory you suggested is what I was thinking of anyway.
