wood cutting actually useful for non members!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

you should be able to make houses out of logs. and the type of log would determine the sturdyness and other stuff. and u can have a key to get into the house so u can have a clan a private clan meeting in the basement or 2nd floor so no1 will hear u or u could just hang out with ur freinds. and u can make multipul copies of keys so evry1 that u want to be able to come in will have a key.

and u can only be in 1 clan and sign a contract so when in the wild u can not attack teamates and if u want to leave the clan to join another clan then u must turn in ur key and u can go join a new clan.

crafting exp will let u customize ur clan house or club. and smithing will be important cause ull need some nails and the logs can be turned in2 planks so u can make walls.

i think wood cutting is pretty useless to non members unless ur selling them to make money but it always takes me too long to sell to some1 so i think wood cutting should have another use other than fletching

Wow, that whole clan system you were talking about with the house in the wilderness and the contract signing was actually an idea I came up with in my head last night while playing thinking about a MMORPG that I also made in my head.

But you're mostly talking about the upcoming POH's (player-owned houses) which may have a house feature very similar to what you're talking about, but very sadly in your case, it's supposed to be member only.

Woodcutting is just a skill to get up so "when" you get members, you'll be "ahead".

ty for ur comments i just thought it would be fun cause sometimes u need a place to hang out or get away from some ppl who annoy u evry where u go. and it would be hard to add to the game but ive always said this to other ppl and i think it would be really fun.

Another idea that I came up with was that if your clan base was found, that an enemy clan would be able to use their high firemaking skills to burn it down. :P

lol u r very creative and i think that will be awesome and the type of logs u use to make ur house will determine how long u can keep ur base running and ull have to save it by having mages do water spells or kill the opposite clan and then u can use buckets of water to save ur house.

Sounds a lot like castlewars to me.

Yeah good idea, though seeing Jagex actually being bothered to do somthing like this is a far cry to actually happening.

but it will be members only if it happens.

logs arent useless to f2p. you can sell yew logs for 300 ea, or you can burn em  .

if you read the post made by jagex about POH's coming out I quote them

"Player owned houses - Each player will be able to have their own unique house. Use the new carpentry skill to make new/rare things for your house. Using the farming skill to grow herbs and plants in the grounds of your house. Build your own private party areas and shop areas, and more! "

but than again we all no how true this was

"We have seperated Farming from Player-Owned Houses in order to bring it to you sooner. Player Owned Houses are still being worked on along with the Carpentry skill for release towards the end of this year - Honestly! :-) "

lets just hope there worth the wait and if they rnt? well lets just hope everyone shuts up and stops talking about future updates and enjoy the ones they already have

yes, each player will be able to have a house, theyll just have to pay 5 bucks a month

I highly doubt Jagex will release any new skills to f2p users. They are a business that makes money and in order to earn that money, they much create more appeal to their membership services. Plus they must please current members by creating features unique to only themselves. It does suck being a f2p user most of the time because you feel left out of Jagex's updates. Although thankfuly their Christmas update was directed toward all players.

I think woodcutting for f2p users evolves around willow trees and yew trees, in which members go to World 1 to purchase these logs to use for fletching. Being that f2p users have nothing to do with the logs besides burning them, they'll most likely sell them which is an appeal to members. Get my drift?

well i think houses is build by crafting but maybe you have to buy some stuff from p2p to your house(like they might be able to make planks) and you may pay a 10 gp per plank and the materials... or a special shop where f2p's get the stuff that p2p's can make?? :D

but it will be members only if it happens.

Plus, if you know what you're doing, you can sell normal logs for 100 each.

I'd call that pretty useful.
