Max hit calculator

Featured Replies

hey guys, this is my first time on Tip.it forums. :3 but I just wanted to let you all know the max hit calculator is off a little, not a major deal, but thought I'd let you know, for when I'm wearing this..http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=max_hit_calc.htm it says my max hit is 632, although I have hit 639's quite often.

Thanks for reading, sincerely.

Intromission. ;)

my bad guys, the link didn't show the details.. well.. the armour I wear is..

Slayer helm - on slayer monsters.

amulet of fury.

Bandos chestplate.

Bandos Tassets.

Chaotic Rapier.

Dragon Defender.

Fire cape.

Dragon boots.

Barrows Gloves.

I also wear a row, but it doesn't effect the Hits in anyway.

What abut attack style?

Accurate vs aggressive vs controlled vs defensive can change max hit slightly

sorry, forgot to add that I was on aggressive, in the calculator and in game.

also, before any other questions are asked, I'm also using the 32% turmoil boost.

Hey Intromission! Welcome to the Tip.it forums! Glad to have you here. First off, thanks for the submission. Let me try shed some light on why you get the max you saw.

The Turmoil prayer boosts based on the levels of your opponent, so it's quite possible your max was affected by what you were fighting. Turmoil's initial boost is 23% and the 32% in the calculator arises from the base 23% boost plus the 10% of an assumed 99 strength player since this is the highest reasonable / calculable strength level in game. So this might be the reason for the discrepancy. It's not uncommon for an NPC to have a strength "level" of higher than 99, so this would allow for a higher max hit if using Turmoil's latter boost - since you're no longer receiving 23% + (10% of 99). Instead it's 10% of a higher strength level resulting in a larger strength boost for your character. Thanks for submitting this, Intromission! I'll try to add a note about this on the calculator to inform future users of this.

And by the way, if you're not quite sure what I've mentioned here or if I didn't explain it clearly enough, PM me and I'll do my best to explain it better.

Wow that is good info to know. Kinda obvious in hindsight the turmoil % must be based of of some specified level due to its nature.

If the wiki is to be believed, monsters that have stats over level 99 will not give greater Turmoil boosts - Turmoil will act as if they had level 99 in that stat. Obliv's formula also seems to use this assumption, as he makes you add +9 to strength when you are using Turmoil in melee.

As it turns out our melee max hit calculator is a tad outdated. I'll update it with the latest formula from the RSOF and see how it goes.

I've updated the calculator. Your maximum hit should be 652 right after you've potted when turmoil is running at full power.
