mageoftheage2 Posted January 21, 2006 Share Posted January 21, 2006 Right so i know we aren't supposed to suggest oriental stuff...this is just a comparason list of various items and their oriental equivilants.Well this guide goes as follows rs name-oriental name-country-oriental item description. dagger-tanto-Japan-last resort wep and if defeated the samurai would commit suicide with it. (short)sword-wakizashi-Japan-used indoors (Japanese rooms very small) and when katana breaks. longsword-katana-Japan-distingishing wep of the samurai(contained his soul). halberd-naginata-Japan-1st used by noblewomen,looked like a scimmy on a 6 foot handle,mainly used to chop horse's legs off. spear-chinese warspear-China-has a tassel under blade to ditract opponent. scimmy-chinese broadsword-China-just a scimmy from China. 2hs-sorry I forget what their called-Japan-samurai sword that is about 7 feet long. plate body-sorry I forget again-Japan-made from iron or leather slats for flexibility. plate skirt-again I forget-Japan-made same way as body,sorry no legs.
