December 29, 201114 yr I've recently started gathering Scabarite Notes to complete the Scabarite Research book after Dealing with Scabaras. It was my knowledge that any of the 3 types of monsters on the plateau in addition to the locust/scabarite monsters inside the dungeon could drop the notes, but based off of a ~1 hr trip killing plateau monsters last night, I got my only 2 pages off of mummies (and I spent the majority of the time killing skeletons and zombies, not mummies). Moreover, when I checked the item database entries for the pages, the description said all 3 types on the plateau dropped them, but under the "Dropped by:" listing, only mummies and the locust/scabarite monsters were listed. Can the skeletons / zombies still drop them, or is there an error in the item database (or did I just happen to get really unlucky in that test sample)? Inefficiency = fun. That's objective and can't be debated. Ever. December 29, 201114 yr All of them can drop them, its just luck really; but most people I know did fair better overall on mummies for drop rates. 1 hour trip is nowhere near a big enough sample size to deduce anything from. I only did mummies for like the final 10 minutes of the trip. Thanks nonetheless. Inefficiency = fun. That's objective and can't be debated. Ever. December 29, 201114 yr Author Thread closed. After some more googling of the notes, I found out that each type of monster drops a specific amount of pages and then never drops any more. After another hour at mummies with nothing, went to go kill the locust/scabarite rangers/lancers and filled my book in under 10 mins <_< Inefficiency = fun. That's objective and can't be debated.
