Runescape is not loading

Featured Replies

Ever since the new patch while i was on vacation Swiftkit doesn't load the runescape game anymore, I have tried installing it and uninstalling it and that didn't work. I've had the runescape badge w/ the glowing come up but other then that it doesn't load, mostly it's a grey to black screen

Simple solution, this is caused by having java7 installed, which doesn't work too well with RuneScape.

Step 1: Open My computer, uninstall ALL java related programs

Step 2: Restart your computer (Important!)

Step 3: Download java6 (find your version on http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp make sure you download it using IE )

Step 4: Restart your computer again (important!)

Step 5: Enjoy RuneScape :)

I did all this, but when i loaded rs on sk for runescape it says java is outdated.

It sounds like something went wrong then, as this is a guaranteed fix so far in the 15-20 cases I've dealt with.

I see yo udropped me a PM saying you couldn't uninstall one of the java packages you had on your machine, did you receive any error when trying to remove this, as it's crucial you remove all java before installing it again.
