Under Step 4, it says {but they let you go as they think you are "the one," foreshadowing ominous things to come}. I find this confusing, since the concept of "The One" is usually applied to someone who will do great things (The Matrix, etc...), but the context of the in-game conversation makes it sound more like "this is the one we must not touch." The sentence should be changed to something like {but they let you go so that you can be saved for "her"}.

Under Step 5, it says the cutscene will start when you stand on the lookout point, when there's an action specifically named "Stand lookout point" for a specific spot.

Under Step 6, the smoke bombs are in the crates in the southwestern room of the hideout.

Under Step 7, the grate is located directly beside the furnace you had to repair from the "Legacy of Seergaze" quest.

Under Step 8, I found it difficult to move directly from Building 1 to Building 2 in a single run. It was much easier to run into the building directly north of Building 1, use another smoke bomb, then finish running to Building 2.

Also under Step 8, after obtaining and repairing the forth clothing piece, it should say to equip all four pieces, and to wear it at all times for the remainder of the quest, except during the boss battle.

Under Step 9, which lists four NPCs you can speak to for tasks, you should talk to Grigan Kaninus first; after speaking to him and receiving the task, you will be able to pick up any Bloodveld Younglings that you come across. Since all 6 Younglings are not visible at all times, the sooner you start this task the better (I gave up after 20 minutes of searching for the 6th one). In addition, the Younglings will appear on the minimap as yellow NPC dots, which makes things easier.

Under Step 9, if you plan on being a good guy, you have the option of discreetly freeing the prisoner under Task 3 later during the quest. But if you're unable to scrounge up the necessary points from the other 3 tasks, you will be forced to perform this task. As such, it should be left for last, and should also mention the fact that if you taunt her too much you will be unable to free her.

Under Step 10 Task 1, if you plan on being a good guy, you should take responsibility for breaking the tithe sample, and you'll still receive points (I think)...

Under Step 10 Task 2, talk to every Sentinel in the upper Tier, rather than just one.

Under Step 10 Task 3, if you choose to collect the debt, you must "Use" the Wolfbane Dagger on the Canifis Settler; equipping it or having it in your inventory won't do anything.

Step 13 should mention to cut at least 3 logs, so that you can demonstrate weapons from all 3 corners of the combat triangle to the Myreque.

Under Step 14, if you want to make multiple Blisterwood Polearms, drop the Sickles and ask Vertida for more.

Under Step 16, I used Blisterwood Stakes for the entire fight, though magic may be viable. Since you'll be running around a lot, the ability to attack from a distance is highly recommended. If you die, your gravestone will appear outside the door to Vanstrom's house, and you will keep your Darkmeyer outfit upon death (I died about 4 times). Vanstrom's attacks should also be a little more detailed:

  • If you get frozen, try to click and run until you break the ice (unconfirmed, I don't remember this part).
  • If he's about to use his darkness attack, he'll shout "Stare into the darkness!". Move to the edge of the room, make your character look away from Vanstrom, and turn your camera so you're looking in the same direction that your character is.
  • Vanstrom will throw blood bombs AND create blood pools underneath you. Both should be avoided.
  • While in mist form, throwing holy water will create a pool of water on the floor. If Vanstrom flies over it, he will take damage. Avoid the cloud of mist and lure him over the pool of water over and over.

After the quest, a Bloodwood tree will appear outside the Arboretum.
