Ritual of the Mahjarrat

Grammar, punctuation, typos

Under Step 4, it says "She will ask you to try clarify what Robert means in his message". A bit of bad grammar, "to try clarify" should be changed to "to try and clarify" or "to try clarifying".

Under Step 8 for "Items Suggested", "varrock" should be capitalized.

Under Step 8, it says "He will give you four beacons to be placed at the ritual site which should help amplify his power, however". "power" could be changed to "powers" or a semi-colon can replace the comma.

Under Step 9, above the picture with a pine tree in it (whose location I find to be slightly misleading due to current graphics in the game), it says "use a beacon on the large deadtree there". There should be a space between "dead" and "tree".

Under Step 10 second paragraph, it says "After completing the puzzle successfuly, the door will unlock". "succesfuly" should have another L in it.

Under Step 12 second paragraph, it says "After revealing that Ali the Wise is infact Wahisietel". There should be a space between "in" and "fact". Also, there could be a "called" before "Wahisietel", or change the sentence to "Ali the Wise is actually a Mahjarrat called Wahisietel".

Under Step 13 with the battle with the Icefiends, it says "Breaking one stalagmites usually only takes one hit". It should say "one set of stalagmites" or "one" should be removed.

Corrections, additional info, miscellaneous

Under Step 1, it says "to investigate an attack on the island". I find it slightly misleading, as if an attack had already taken place. It should be changed to "to investigate a plot to attack the island" or something similar.

Under Step 3 for "Required", protection against dragonfire is highly recommended, to reduce the amount of damage taken from fireballs (which will need to be listed at the top of the guide too). In my case, I used a Dragonfire Shield.

Under Steps 5 to 7 when you go to Kethsi, I recommend taking agility gear such as weight reduction and food. There is no combat in Kethsi, so there is no need to be equipped in combat gear, but there's a lot of running. Kethsi is full of agility obstacles which you could possibly fail (I failed some at 79 Agility), so food and a Regen Brace are useful (moderate-healing food is fine, no need to load up on expensive food).

For Step 6, it says "search the pile of rubble nearby to find a tetrahedron 4". It's not nearby, it's actually quite a ways away from the fairy ring (I couldn't see the fairy ring icon on the minimap when standing beside the rubble). Instead it should say "head into the ruins and go north-west, then search the pile of rubble near the water to find a tetrahedron 4".

Further on in Step 6 underneath the picture, it says "Now climb up the ramp and use Bob's collar on the wall design to open a puzzle". The ramp is located to the east of the pile or rubble, within clicking distance but not easy to spot. The wall design is north of the ramp once you go up it. The two notes and necklace you receive are not needed for this quest, so they can be destroyed and retrieved for future quests.

Further on in Step 6, when you walk across the spire-bridge and down the ladder, the guide says "Now run up the wall jump behind you and climb the next wall". When you first go down the ladder, the "wall jump" is actually located to your right (east).

Further on in Step 6, it says "Instead, jump down from the floor immediately to the south of that ladder. Once on the lower floor, climb down both ladders until you reach the ground". You actually jump across a gap to another floor at the same height as the floor you're on, so it should be changed to "Instead, jump across the gap to the south of the ladder, then climb down both ladders until you reach the ground".

Under Step 7 first paragraph, the toolbelt pickaxe will work, and if you pull the pickaxe from the rock, it will not respawn should you drop it.

Further on in the first paragraph, it says "From here, run west across the first and second walls then climb west across some handholds", which is slightly confusing. There's an agility obstacle called "Run-across wall". It should be changed to something like "From here run west, cross the wall-obstacles, then climb west across some handholds".

Under Step 7 third paragraph, it says "Instead, slide down the roof to the west and south". It makes it sound like you have to slide down two roofs instead of one. It should be reworded to something like "Instead, head west then south, then slide down the roof".

Under Step 7, the code given from the Tetrahedron puzzle is written in your Quest Journal. In addition, in the paragraph that says "If you don't already have a spade, pick up the one lying on the ground", that sentence should be moved to the start of the paragraph so as to not make the reader think that the spade is located outside instead of inside.

Under Step 7, when you're trying to locate the spot where to dig, if you need to backtrack all the way to the first part of Kethsi near the fairy ring, there's a rope swing located on the southern end of the part 2 of Kethsi, west of the pipe squeeze. It will take you back to the wall-jump obstacle near the spire-bridge.

Under Step 7 second-last paragraph, you need to search the bookcases in the south-eastern corner and along the south wall. Also, when you find the journal, make sure to keep it, you'll need to show it to Tiffy in order to advance the quest (I think).

Under Step 9, before heading to the ritual site, I advise locating the Heat Globe in Ghorrock Fortress first, to avoid backtracking later. I was able to find the globe before talking to Movario and locating the Shadow Pedestal. In addition, the heat globe does NOT appear on the minimap.

Under Step 9, before placing the final beacon, it's not required to speak to Movario right now, since you will be unable to place the Heat Globe on the Shadow Pedestal until you speak to Movario after ALL tasks are completed.

Under Step 10 first paragraph, it says "At the south-west corner of the ritual site is a track to Zemourgal's Fortress". There are several paths you can take to reach the fortress, and none of the paths are marked (at least not in low detail graphic settings). But there is a guaranteed path through the trees at the southwestern corner of the ritual site.

Under Step 12 onwards, if you need to bank: During a cutscene before a battle, just click outside the chat box and the cutscene will be interrupted and you will find yourself outside the rope shortcut you created. When you use the rope shortcut to access the ritual plateau, you will go through the exact same cutscene from the beginning. If you teleport away, log out, die, etc during a battle, you will have to endure the entire cutscene before that battle again, just like above. So to save time, it's advised to interrupt cutscenes to bank, rather than interrupt battles to bank.

Under Step 13 onwards, Lucien's smoking-skull attack will not damage anyone except you. No one EXCEPT you. Effort should not be taken to try and lure Lucien's attack to hit an enemy. It is also not necessary to fight any enemies other than the ones that seek you out; each section of the battle will end once you defeat your assigned enemies. Also during some fights, the Barrow brothers MAY assist you in fighting your assigned enemies, but only if they're not fighting one of their own. It is still not advised to defeat the enemies that the Barrows are fighting so that they'll help you, since it's not guaranteed that they WILL help you (not entirely confirmed).
