Attempting to open a specific (safe) website kills my internet

Featured Replies

I've had odd issues with my internet today and I'm fairly certain I know what's causing it now..

Whenever I attempt to open zybez forum it will be in the *loading* state for about a minute before giving up, during and after this my connection to everything including stuff like youtube and runescape is completely killed, and remains dead for 1-60 minutes.

zybez was working earlier today with no internet problems, although it was loading awfully slow itself it had no obvious impact on my overall internet connection.

I've done a malware check on my computer and didn't find anything.

Can anyone offer help?

The site itself seems to be fine for me, if a little on the slow side to load. Perhaps your computer is running a lot of stuff and the Zybez page pushes it over and crashes it. I would try restarting it and seeing if performance improves.

And also, what browser are you running?

I use firefox but I tested it with chrome and IE after just to make sure it wasn't browser or addon related.

It wouldn't be pushing the computer over the limit, i often have several HD video streaming stuff at the same time and 10+ tabs at times lol. My computer is a very powerful gaming computer and my internet is 120mb/s...

It's quite likely zybez has nothing to do with the problem, I've avoided it since the incidents and still had the internet issues a few times, it's probably just an ISP thing, just seemed an odd coincidence it happened 3/3 times when using zybez at the time of posting, plus the fact zybez was going so slow itself (turns out many suffered from it being slow including yourself)

So yeah. Probably unrelated. Thanks for trying to help. I'll get on the phone with my ISP if it's still dodgy tomorrow morning.

Always glad to try, even if I wasn't of too much assistance. I hope that it gets resolved for you soon though :).
