I was wondering about slayer points.. Do you have to complete the quest "Smoking Kills" to get them? Because I've been completing tasks but not getting any points? Maybe it has to do with combat level/slayer level or even the person you get a task from?

 

Here are my stats: My slayer level is actually level 5 though.

 

 

 

Anyone have any ideas as to why I'm not receiving any? I am also getting my tasks from Vannaka in Edgeville Dungeon. He just assigned me 98 Ice Giants. I'm not done with that tasks yet, but I just completed a task before that was 20 spiders or something like that & didn't get any points. Do the tasks need to meet a certain standard to obtain points from them or am I just not understand this whole concept at all? :unsure:  

You only get points after your 4th consecutive task and you'll only get half the points without Smoking Kills done

Plus the Taverly slayer master does not give any points and using them resets your task streak to 0

So any task swaps you may do will ruin your chance for points.
