So yeah, I got two relatively simple questions, the first one is, what is a good set up for training combat through slayer at low level? Stat-wise I'm at 51 Atk, 37 str, 30 def, 25 mage, 11 range, 43 prayer, 35-ish constitution and 35 Slayer. 

 

For gear I'm using a Black armour set, obsidian cape, fury, berserker ring (I have a warrior's ring too), black mask and dual Rune Scimies, for magic a full spider set (wand and orb) and a hexcrest, and for range I have a studded leather set.  I have about 1.1 mill in the bank, but I don't really want spend it all on supplies, 

 

As for attack training, I'm trying to decide if going all the way to 75 attack (so I can use my Sarandomin sword) through slayer is viable, or if I should train on one specific monster (IIRC experiments form the Frankenstein-quest were pretty good for that)?  

That equipment all sounds good, and as you level up you can upgrade to adamant/green d'hide and then to rune/blue d'hide/batwing, which should hopefully fall within your budget. Plus you can sell the lower level armor once you're done with it for a little more cash if it's really needed. Fury is a great amulet to use at those levels and no doubt a sound investment. Obsidian cape is probably the best until you can get a skillcape or something better.

 

Experiments were a popular training method prior to the Evolution of Combat update since they had 1000 life points and a low combat level and damage potential to the player. Their level is still relatively low, but they award only 72 xp/kill. I'm not sure if they are still great to kill or if other monsters (i.e., giants, lesser demons, etc.) are better to farm at this point.

 

The choice of whether to train with or without Slayer depends on your long-term ambitions. Is your main goal to just use the Saradomin sword or are you looking to unlock better creatures to slay for money, etc. etc.? Training combat via Slayer tasks is usually viewed as getting another skill done 'for free,' but if you really want to use your godsword, you can probably get there faster just farming the appropriate mob for your level. Many higher level creatures require Slayer level to kill, if you're going to want to make money later - for example the ascenion monster Rorarius at 81 Slayer. As for how much faster this would be I'm not quite sure, I would guess 1.5x - 2x the speed of Slayer training at the most at your level.

I think I'll keep slaying, at least till level 60 (for dragon weapons) and then I'll decide if I continue training attack, incidentally is there any decent, buy-able item for the hand-slot? I know the RfD gloves are the best overall option, but I don't really want to quest that much right now. 

I'm not sure, maybe Fist of Guthix gloves, but then there is the small inconvenient matter of recharging them :S. On the Ranged or magic side, Carapace or Mystic would seem good for your level right now.

Eh, I think I'll keep using the spiked gauntlets until I decide to get off my but and do some questing., thanks for all the help though.  Slaying has been somewhat profitable, got a little over 60k from an Ice Giant task (though I killed quite a lot of Ice warriors too, stupid aggro range) and I'm currently sitting at 56 Atk  :D  Though I hate the Crocodile tasks :angry: horrible, horrible task.  Wish I could get more Cockatrice task, pretty relaxing and profitable (cue someone telling me it isn't) 

Alright, have fun! You do know about blocking tasks though, I take it? That could prove helpful in avoiding whichever task you despise most :P.
