There are multiple better IRC clients available, so we are not going to make a stand-alone version of SK's IRC client. This'll list 7 alternative programs for IRC: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/top-7-free-irc-clients-windows-7/

so the current irc client cannot be used without the actual swiftkit client which it doesnt interract with at all? :s

Yeah, the SK IRC client is built within the SK and in order to use it, you'll have to have SK open.

Please do remember there are several web-based IRC clients that you could user through SwftBrowse - such as Mibbit and KiwiIRC, or visit SwiftIRC.net and navigate to the Chat section. These very much look and act like the native SwiftKit IRC client that you are use to.

-sorry for the bump-
