Karhoot
Hey boys and gals, and thanks for checking out my thread. So I have a few questions. I haven't played in a few years, and I've noticed a lot has changed, in regards to the overall play style of RS. I have a networth of about 3k (LOL). How exactly would one get items and such to start moving along with levels? I'm 75 att, 77 str, 74 def. Are GWD armor/weps still superior as far as training? Planned on starting slayer again (Currently at 65) once I got gear. Any words for this old veteran? Haha. Where should I begin
Arceus
Net worth of only 3k? If you mean that literally I would suggest buying p ess and crafting runes, assuming you have a reasonable runecrafting level. Buy around 100, make nature/law runes and repeat. Once you have a reasonable amount you can attempt the vis wax daily and resell broad arrowheads from the two slayer master shops, and go from there until you get enough for say a dragon chain set and kill dragons, and so on. If you don't have 50 Runecrafting, go through the green portal on the top floor of the wizard's tower and train there, which should be relatively quick. Talk to Wizard Finix there for a tutorial. In terms of gear, GWD are decent but not really superior. For your level, a godsword and bandos armor are the best but you'll be looking to upgrade that eventually. Saradomin godsword is much better since it has a healing effect with its special, eliminating the need for food much of the time. I can lend you one if it'll help out. If you're interested in doing range/magic too (which may be necessitated by Slayer tasks), there is cheap equipment in those corners of the combat triangle readily available. Royal d'hide is very cheap for ranged, and mystic or groflic works for magic. Grifolic does degrade but you'll likely outgrow it before you use up a full charge in any case. Karhoot
Sweet that's great, thanks for such a fast reply. So a friend of mine ended up giving me 120m lol I know. So my budget is a little bigger than it was. So now it's time to start doing slayer again and stuff. Bandos and Sara sword is good?
Arceus
Yeah, if you have 120M definitely buy those, maybe even Torva when you get to higher levels. You do have to pay to repair it though so Bandos is probably better (and sufficient) for your needs now. 1 "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." NobleK
Also, depending on this guy's Mining level, mining a few thousand coal will help too, or even a few hundred would do for a short-term cash boost. Coal is worth 300-400 each, depending on the RS economy, and even 300 coal at those price would be 30-40K. A good way to gather coal with no risk to the player is to have the Kingdom of Miscellania unlocked, along with the Etceteria half of the island; the Etceteria half has teak and mahogany trees, which also sell very well on the GE... Karhoot
I wasn't looking on ways to make money. Simply looking on current updated gear setups. I still have ~1.6B. Money is far from an issue. Does anyone know where I can find EOC bar setups? For Mage, ranged and melee
