So I was wondering if anyone knows what determines the speed at which you get xp on an augmented weapon? I have heard from asking around that you can get xp on t90 weaps faster because they are faster I'm just wondering if people think it is based on how much damage you do? I hear people saying that killing things such as airuts, glacors, saradomin encampment ect. are fast ways to train the weapon but I wasn't sure why other than because maybe you are capable of doing more average damage over time at these places. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

It's based on xp gain.

 

Before they made it 25% faster 250k xp = level 5.

 

Higher tier items are faster because you kill things faster and therefore get xp faster.
