Necromancy!

Because I have been officially told I am no longer allowed to revive old topics for some reason, I have come up with a new game! In this game you will find an inactive thread and post the premise on the first post. The next person will then follow the premise of the previous post, and then find their own old thread and post its premise. Feel free to repost the same topic if you want, whatever. It'll probably be more fun with more variety though.

Don't feel the need to quote the whole post if 1 sentence would explain the topic. Just include a link, in case someone is confused. Especially with really old posts, as the formatting can be messy and excessively long because of errors with different versions of forum software.

It's like the "fired" thread, with a few twists. The person above you did a good job, so you should promote them.
Tell then what they did, where they work, and what their new role/responsibilities are.
 

You're promoted at the sink factory for building a better drain. Your new job is to build bath tubs.

You're promoted at the posting department for making an example. Your new job is to troll in Off Topic.

You're promoted at the animal factory for figuring out where the platypus came from. Your new job is to develop a working griffon.

Is this thread a ripoff? I prefer to think of it as an homage.
