( working title.. suggestions? )

Hey guys. Back again with another of my infamous non-progressive WIPs. :D I might actually finish this one though!! (touch wood)

Anyways, see below for the WIP. I'd appreciate any sort of critiques/criticism/advice/etc.

Photoshop 7

Intuos3

1800x1200 pixels, 300dpi

Concept / Initial Plan

When finished, there will be a small boy/girl grabbing for a gold coin (or other valuable) hanging from a tree branch.

On the right will be an innocent, lush scene with plenty of vivid colours. The tree will be leafy and full of life.

On the left, a bleak scene of death and decay. The muddy ground will be covered in bones. The trees will all be dead and the scene will be completely void of life.

I'm hoping to construct it in a "mysterious fairy-tale" style...

Its going to be sweet man. I think 'Poison Oak' would be a nice title.

Off topic: I just started posting again and I have a couple of questions. Are you the person that painted that dog? It looks like the same style. I have noticed if you are that person that you have offered alot of help with digital painting. Sorry I just am drawing a blank if that was you or someone else. Now that I think about it I might be thinking of tittia?

Anyways if you can point me in the direction of some of your tuts and pdf files I just bought a tablet (graphire, hope its good cost me alot of money) and I would apriciate it.

Thanks! I'll keep this title in mind, it's a good one! :D

The artist who drew the dog sleeping on a deck (if that is what you're thinking of) was Tttia. He's a great painter and has been doing it for a quite a while. He's recently become inactive from tip.it, but he shows up from time to time.

I'd be glad to try and help though, even though I'm still new to this aswell.

I think you mean Tttia's. He had a PDF tutorial on drawing for beginners, I believe. I can't remember the link, but I can point you in the direction of some other tutorials for that...
