thats how you block jagex from checkin into you computer. Also if you have a dynamic IP it shouldnt b a problem also when your banned you can appeal it to jagex if that dont work... Runescape isnt keeping you alive you dont need it... it is a game...

I honestly think most of these reports are false. I don't think Jagex would ban people simply because more than one person was using the same router. I'm sure many people have played in public areas, such as cyber cafes and libraries, off the same router. They have put in security features for public areas, such as hiding the numbers when you enter your pin, so that people cant catch your pin over your shoulder, or at least make it harder. I play at the same time as my brothers all the time. Of course, I don't enteract with them, because they don't have anything I would ever want. I also play at the school library between classes.

Look, if your mom still drops you off at school, you ain't gangsta, pull up your damn pants!

Ok as a CCNA and a CCDA I can tell you the whole point of a router is that the outside world only sees one ip addie. Subnet masks are used for intanetwork refrence. let me see if i can explain.

Most modern routers work like this. They use Network Address Translation (NAT) Technology - Prevents hackers from seeing (and attacking) your network address while you're surfing the web. NAT technology translates IP addresses of a local area network to a different IP address for the Internet. Each computer on your network has a local IP address. When the router gets the data transmission to forward out to the Internet, the router puts a different IP address on the transmission. This way, whoever receives the data transmission doesn't know what the actual IP address of the computer is, so the computer is hidden, only the router is seen. There are other pieces of info in the packets that tell the router where to send the packets when they get back. Most of this info is meaningless to a computer on the other end of the transaction, because it does not know the structre of the internial network.
