Need help with this quest, I can not seem to get Evil Dave to let me join the group and I am wearing shade robes, and carrying Darklight,Do I have to be wearing a black helm or hat of some type? And I am not wearing anything else just shade robes and darklight.......

you need 3 types of dark clothing - silverlight doesnt count. add a black helm, and you will be fine
