April 20, 200620 yr hey i started making a pure today my basic goal is to keep def and prayer to 1 then make a hybrid with the other combat styles but i was just wondering as i can now almost weild blk when im using mele should i use a 2h or stick to a scimmy/b axe and iron kite?
April 20, 200620 yr I would say stick with skimmy/ b axe, it depends for some people though. If you get to the point when you have 1 defence 40 att and 50+ str with combat 42 or higher, then i recomend skimmy because fastest hits with low hp can be important. What im trying to say is that you would less likely kill someone with a skimmy than a 2h, because with a 2h they would have time to eat. You can even use str pots and then it wont make a difference in hitting higher than you usually would with a 2h. I advise getting 40 range after you get your mele goals, because if you wear dragon hide legs and vambs with iron armour, it will be very good protection from the many pure mages out there. Plus, Dragon hide armour has better defence than iron anyways. So go with the rune skimmy or any skimmy at all when training or pking
