Does ahrim/karim armor degrade when not getting atked back?

Say I'm training range at greater demon cage, not getting attacked and wearing karil armor only with mage short, does the armor degrade?

I used around 4000 chaos runes in Castle Wars a few weeks ago, and my Ahrim's degraded from 75 to 25. I wasn't being attacked most of the time. A few months ago, I was using Ice Burst with my new Ahrim's (No number shown) and it degraded once I cast a spell. No green bar there, either.

yea it think it's that because the first time you use dharoks after you repair it, as soon as you hit the enemy it doesn't degrade but you don't get the green bar untill you get hit back

My guthans helm degrades even if i use the safe spot while ranging in fight caves... Dunno about Karil&Ahrim
