Help with ranger

Featured Replies

Hey, i was wondering what is this difference between longbows and shortbows and what is the difference between accurate and rapid. Also what is the best for pking? (ive read the guide but it didnt explain much on this topic)

Longbows have longer range while shortbows are much faster. They both deal the same amount of damage.

Accrate is um..more accurate and rapid is..more rapid? :P

Rapid shoots faster and is the mode a bow should almost always be in.

ok so a longbow can hit from farther away?

Longbows can hit from longer range. MOST people train using a shortbow on rapid, for fastest xp. Same with pking, people tend to use a shortbow.

Accurate setting should hit less 0's. Some depending on arrow type and level, you may also have a maximum hit 1 point higher. For example, my level 75 range hits 10 with steel on rapid, 11 on accurate. Use the new tip.it range max hit calculator, its pretty much 100% right i would think. I recommend using the best shortbow you can, with iron or steel for training, addy or rune (member) for pk.
