Sometimes when I open a topic ( where a picture is showing )

 

I can't see it, The other people can.

 

This is not always .. Thats the weird part.. Some pictures I see.. Some I don't See..

What browser & OS are you using? What firewall do you have? Give us an example of a topic where you can see images and another where you can't. Do you have ad blocking software?

I use Internet Explorer, Firewall is ZoneAlarm.

Ad blocking is in ZoneAlarm ;) ehm .. ad blocking is off .. So it blocks all ;)

 

 

 

Oh and 1 thing .. If I right click .. There aint options for images ..

Hrm do you see images in people's sigs in the topic where you can't see them? (eg. are images disabled on the whole topic, or just the one bank pic)

 

 

 

For another test, what happens if you click on the url of the image and open it up in a new window? Click here.

Nope .. I don't see sigs .. Do u have sigs? Because I only see the text .. And I expect u have sigs ;)

Maybe your browser/firewall/something is blocking pages with images over a certain size?

Nope.. I don't see it ..

But you can see the images on other posts. Now that's really odd :-?

 

 

 

And yeah I do have a sig.

 

 

 

Try temporarily disabling zonealarm. If you can see the image in my above post, then the problem is with zonealarm. Re-enable it asap and then have a look at the ad blocking options.

 

 

 

If disabling zomealarm doesn't work, try downloading Firefox (another web browser) and seeing if you can see the image in this post with that. If it works in Firefox, then we know that the problem is with Internet explorer.

I disabled ZoneAlarm .. I could see the picture ;) ..

 

Enabled and couldn't see it..

 

 

 

So I put the ad blocking on 'on' and it worked :D

Good to hear your problem is fixed :) I would, however, suggest that you don't browse with ad blocking on, as many sites (such as tip.it) depend on revenue from advertising to pay for their web hosting.

 

 

 

Try going into the advanced ad blocking settings and seeing if there's something about large images (over a certain filesize?)

Ehm .. Ill check that ..

 

I love the thing it blocks al the "bad" pop-up screens ;)..

 

Ill put it on medium, See if it helps a bit..

Oh yeah .. and one thing..

 

I need to install new drivers .. But when I install it .. It says Windows doesn't .. ehm how do I say this .. Accept it ..

 

And then it asks me to Accept or Decline.. I do decline because I might f'it up..

That is called Driver Signing (WHQL Logo)

 

 

 

basically what it means is the company who wrote the drivers has not had it "verified" by Microsoft yet

 

 

 

I'm not going to tell you whether to install them or not , but I will say , if you got them from the hardware manufacturers website and you KNOW they are the correct drivers for your hardware , they probably wont do any damage, I have used many unsigned video and sound drivers with never a problem

 

 

 

the choice to install unsigned drivers is up to you .
