I need to get into the desert mining camp to get the next part of my trail, but when I try to open the gates it says that they're locked. So I tried to kill the mercenary captain but he gets the other mercenaries to fight me instead. How do I get inside?

Have you done the Tourist Trap quest? You get the metal key to the Mining Camp gate from the captain, but you need to be doing the quest, or have completed the quest, for that to work.

 

 

 

And if you HAVE completed the quest, check your bank. You may still have the key. If you do, you won't get another from the captain.
