Captaingoodguy
With the age restriction set to play RS to 13+ it is clear that Jagex is trying to either avoid being liable or they are genuinely concerned. Either way I came up with this idea on how to make people think more about what they do on RuneScape. Here's the idea: Jagex makes a quiz, so that every 2/3months (not too far apart, and not too long) before you are able to log in you have to answer some questions (5-8) correctly. These questions would not be too difficult, and should be logical to figure out. They could also ask questions pertaining to the rules, so that would make people familiarize themselves with the rules and maybe find some things that they were doing are against the rules. Here are some sample questions: EX. 1 (kind of a weak question, but I'm sure you get the idea) If someone ask you to tell them in which city you live and your street address what should you do: A) Tell them B) Report them EX. 2 (this is one of the questions concerning the rules) Using a third party client to log on to one of your accounts and logging on to another account of your's is alright. A) True B) False If a person gets one of the questions on the quiz wrong then they have to wait a certain amount of time before they can attempt to log in again. When they try to log in again they will have to take the quiz again, and if they answer all the questions correctly they can play, if not then they have to wait. Also once they have answered the questions on the quiz correctly they will not have to do the quiz until the next time Jagex decides to do it. The questions for the whole month will be the same, but order of questions and answer will be randomized, so that you actually have to think about what you are reading. Well I'm done now, so I'd like to hear some other opinions on this. Giordano
Good idea, but it'll won't really stop rule breakers. They already had no excuse since they AGREED with Jagex's Policy when they signed up. That's enough proof. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
ishepp
Good idea, but I think this could cause just as much trouble as it saves. See post above too, you agree to the rules when you sign up, so theres no excuse anyway. Its not hard to find the rules again either, they are on the website with explanations regarding the particulars. 89/99 farming
Captaingoodguy
What I said "the rule breakers have no excuse now" it was more or less directed at those who are unaware of the fact that they are breaking the rules. I guess I should have explained it a bit more because not everyone can read minds :D I guess what I am trying to do with the questions on the quiz relating to the rules is to try to get rid of some of the ignorance about the rules. As for the rule breakers who know they are breaking the rules, well there isn't really much hope. Basically all we can do is try to keep the honest players honest, and try to turn the rulebreakers away from their rulebreaking by enforcing the rules and/or showing them how they are breaking the rules.
