I'm having trouble with a virus, I have windows xp and my virus scanner is McAfee VirusScan, i keep getting this

 

"The file C:WINDOWS\system32\st3.dll is infected by the Generic Downloader.c trojan and cannot be cleaned."

 

that is exactly what it says.

Have you tried removing it in safe mode (press f8 while your computer is booting up)?

I haven't tried yet but i will. I'll post wether it works or not.

couldn't remove it in safe mode :( , and it keeps saying it might be in use by another program.
