Im using it at the moment and its only taking up < 15MB of my RAM and if you ever watch videos with it, then it takes up < 40MB of RAM. Ive been pretty happy with the sound quality. Get some good speakers and it should sound very nice. If it doesnt, you can have a fiddle with the equalizer and find something that you like.
