runescape doesn't work, help plz

ok, guyz, it seems that runescape hasn't worked for me in a couple of months. i have windows xp professional, due to certain problems, i wiped clean the computer and re-installed OS and other stuff. But i was using windows xp professional before and runescape worked. and plus, it never asked for installation of java or anything else. now i have to go to java.com and download java.

 

 

 

here is the problem: even when i have sun java, the game still doesn't work. i would be able to log in, but the game screen would be black and keep switching back and forth between "loading...please wait" and "connection lost...waiting to re-establish" after waiting around 20 minutes or so, i got tired of it and closed the browser.

 

 

 

i asked a friend and he said you need a video card or something to play runescape. is that so, guyz? if so, can you guys recommend any good ones? thanks for your help, for anyone who helped me, add dlordrb on your friendlist, and leave your name here, i shall promptly reward you when i am able to play runescape again

i tried using another browser other than IE, mozilla firefox gave me the same thing, so obviously it's not the browser's fault

Look in the technical forums for help. I don't know much about computers but the advice there was able to help me.

i tried man, no help, apparantly no one cares to help others, what happened to the chivalrous players back in runescape 1?

This is a technical question that most people don't know the answer to. Also help and advice is a rather slow forum. Try pming a mod that put up the sticky about fixing runescape. RSN is in sig. :wink:

if you want a good video card your gonna spend 400- 700 dollars for the best.. but there are good NIVIDIA for 100- 300 dollars
